RLS and RS Owner and Senior Editor, Jo Reaves, brings 23 years of professional editing and design experience to her job. During her career, she has served as the Managing Editor of three newspapers, Page Layout and Designer of three newspapers, a University Professor (having done her undergraduate and graduate work in languages and linguistics), a Teacher of English as a Second Language, and Editor and Publisher of countless books, articles and dissertations for individuals, organizations and ministries around the world. She also personally understands the frustrations, challenges and joys of being a published author, having written and published three of her own books. The most recent can be seen at www.cyberlovesillusions.com.

Jo provides a very personalized service to her clients, is always accessible, and ready to go the extra mile in bringing 100 percent satisfaction to those who have entrusted their written words into her care.

Complementing Jo, Tom Mack, a former College Professor, brings a wealth of writing and editing skills to RLS. After writing a university-sanctioned paper for publication, he gained considerable experience writing and editing long publications. Since that time, he has also edited a number of dissertations and theses, as well as a host of business and non-business documents, adding to his wealth of experience.

Tom holds a MBA in Information Systems Management. He also holds an A+ Certification in Computer Maintenance and a Net+ Certification in Network Management. These degrees and certifications give our clients an edge when it comes to editing and preparing their documents and dealing with printers and publishers. Tom’s computer software and hardware background enable RLS to maintain high industry standards and cutting-edge technology. Tom also manages the business aspects of RLS.

The Renaissance Difference

Renaissance Literary Services represents the new wave in print publishing, bridging the gap between traditional trade publishers and vanity presses. We work with new and seasoned authors in every step of taking a book from concept to completion, by offering our distinctive menu of services.

Renaissance Publishing, a division of Renaissance Literary Services, created for those who wish to self-publish, is not your average big city publishing company. We believe in small town values and small town services. We offer a full menu of services designed to help authors develop a product worthy of their talents and abilities. We understand that when authors publish their book, they put their reputation at stake. A good-looking book that is well written, well documented, and well edited will appeal to the marketplace, generating interest and eventually, hopefully, sales.

Every author knows that writing, printing and selling a book is a full-time job. Renaissance Publishing works hand-in-hand with authors to help them get their book into the marketplace, without the big city prices.

Whether you are going the traditional route to have your book published and would like professional editing for your manuscript before sending it to potential publishers, or you have decided to join the ranks of the new breed of self-publishers, we are here to help you achieve the excellence you aspire to and make your book the very best it can be.

All work is completed in-house — Nothing is outsourced, ever!

All work is held in strict confidence, always!
